The Shanghai Worldfield Convention Hotel is the city's first international hotel complex featuring extensive, up-to-date facilities for international conventions and exhibitions.

  It stands on 30,000 square meters of land in the Hong Qiao commercial area, an easy ten-minutes ride from the international airport and 20 minutes from the Pudong Development Zone via the city's highway network (inner ring road).

CONVENTION CENTRE
  The hotel has 3,500 square meters of convention space. There are three large rooms - a Grand Ballroom that seats up to 1,000 for theatre-style meetings and up to 700 for banquets; a 600-seat multi-purpose Auditorium and a 600-seat Convention Hall. There are 15 rooms of varying sizes for smaller-scale business and social events.

  It also has a range of state-of-the-art audio-visual equipment and meeting aids including a built-in simultaneous interpretation system in the Auditorium. Additionally, convention organizers can make use of an exclusive of-site secretariat room complete with office furnitureand equipment. Its Convention Services staff is composed of professionals who provide comprehensive services ranging from menu planning to theme party decorations and props.

ACCOMMODATION
  Complementing the convention centre are 357 luxurious rooms including 24 suites and 44 rooms on the Executive Floor which also features a sizeable lounge, conference room and a private gym plus various facilities and services essential to the travelling execufive. A three-bedroom Presidential Suite is located on level six.

  Guestrooms are spacious with 26 square meters floor area. There is a line-up of amenities and modern conveniences made available for the most discerning of travellers: electronic card lock system, individually-controlled airconditioning, in-room safe, IDD telephone and self-setting wake-up call system, satellite TV stations, complimentary in-house movies featuring new film releases, to name a few.

FOOD AND BEVERAGE
  A variety of dining and entertainment outlets cater to all kinds of tastes: a Chinese restaurant serving Cantonese specalities, a Japanese restaurant, an Oriental snack house, a buffet restaurant and one Poolside Coffee Shop.

  The Lobby Lounge is an ideal place for cocktails and afternoon snacks. For entertainment, the Sparks entertainment pub features non-stup music and Lao Shanghai Pub is a recreational outlet where one can play chess, backgammon and other games.

HEALTH CLUB
  For exercise and relaxation, the 25 m.x 10 m. outdoor swimming pool and a indoor swimming pool are the main attraction of its recreational facilities that also include a health club with a gym, sauna and the latest in exercise equipment. A jogging track within the complex has been designed for running enthusiasts.

  Other facilities include a Business Centre, a transportation fleet consisting of limousines, coasters and 50-seater buses and shops selling a variety of merchandise, from deli items to Chinese arts and souvenirs.
