| Shanghai Pesticide Research Institute (SPRI), established
in March, 1963, is specialized in research and development on pesticides. SPRI takes great pride i  n
its 256 staff, 178 of whom are special technicians, including 1 Academician
of CAE, 4 professors, 30 senior engineers and 46 engineers.The major research and development line of SPRI includes chemical pesticide, bio-pesticide, pesticide intermediate, pesticide standard sample and fine chemicals. SPRI is the technical base for Shanghai Research Center of Bio-Chemical Technology, Ministry of Chemical In  dustry
of China and Shanghai Branch of National Pesticide P& D South Center,
and it's also home to Shanghai Pesticide Quality Supervisory & Test
Station and The Pesticide Examination Center of Shanghai, Besides, SPRI
