徐汇区位于上海市中心区西南部，面积54.76平方公里，区域内拥有上海交大、复旦大学（上医大）、华东理工大学等10所高等院校、中科院、上科院等113所科研院所，是全区高科技产业发展的重要推动力量和创新源头。
徐汇区以工业产业结构调整为重要抓手，结合区域综合优势和产业发展特点，注重依托区域丰富的科技资源，充分利用市属工业企业原有产业基础，精心培育具有产业特色的都市型工业园区（楼宇），大力发展以高科技产业为重点的都市型工业。其中上海慧谷高科技孵化基地总建筑面积4.5万平方米，到2001年底，基地内入驻企业101家，其中70%是软件企业，总注册资本2.5亿元人民币，年销售额3.5亿元人民币。由上海工业自动化仪表研究所改建而成的都市型工业仪表城入驻特色企业87家。在老凤祥传统行业基础上改建而成的上海钻石交易所龙华加工区，已有14家相关企业入驻。
徐汇区还与漕河泾新兴技术开发区合作，联手对开发区东区深化开发，拓展都市型工业的发展空间。
上海市已将生物制品定为徐汇区的特色产品，进行重点扶持。
Xuhui District is located in the southwest of downtown Shanghai
and covers an area of 54.76 square km. 113 resident scientific research
institutes, including 10 universities (Shanghai Communication University,
Fudan University and East China Science & Technical Institute
etc.), National Academy of Sciences and Shanghai Academy of Sciences,
act as the vital driving force and innovation source for the development
of high-tech industries.
According to local comprehensive advantages and industrial development
characteristics, Xuhui District actively make full use of technological
resources and district industrial foundation to advance the construction
of urban industrial parks (buildings)with industrial characteristics
and the cultivation of high-tech urban industries. For example, Shanghai
Intellectual Valley High-tech Venture Park focuses of IT enterprises.
Three Hi-tech incubators, with total architectural area of 45 thousand
square meters, have attacted 101 enterprises by the end of 2001, 70%
of which are software venders. Their registered capital amounts to
2.5 hundred million dollars and the total annual sales revenues are
estimated to be 3.5 hundred million dollars. The Urban Industrial
Instrument City reconstructed from Shanghai Industrial Automatization
Instrument Instiute has accommodated 87 characteristic enterprises.
Longhua Diamond Processing Park of Shanghai Diamond Exchange, Which
was reformed from the traditional industrial foundation of Lao Fen-xiang,
has accommodated 14 correlative enterprises.
Recently, a new found of in-depth development was commenced in the
east section of Caohejing Hi-tech Park, hence expanded space for urban
industries.
Biomedicine goods have been designated as the distinctive commodities
by Shanghai government, which will gain further support. |
