长宁区位于上海市中心区西部，面积38平方公里。长宁区以虹桥经济技术开发区为核心，实施“依托虹桥、发展长宁”战略，着力构建虹桥涉外贸易中心、虹桥临空经济园区、中山公园商业中心等三大经济组团，成为长宁区经济建设和社会发展的主导功能。 　　虹桥临空经济园区位于长宁区西部，距虹桥国际机场仅2公里，是集电子电气、服装服饰、信息通信等高新技术产业、都市型工业为一体的综合型园区。规划面积280公顷。目前已有20多个技术含量高、品牌效应显著的项目已经落户园区。 　　近年来，长宁区与国有企业联手，利用国有企业闲置的厂房资源，积极协助调整工业产业结构，同时加快建设区域范围内具有自身特色的都市型工业园区。到目前为止，长宁区已经利用上海塑料制品模具厂、上海人民电器厂、上海火炬环保用品厂、上海纺织机械研究所、上海百灵鸟企业发展有限公司、上海东风沙发厂等七家国有企业的存量厂房，建设都市型工业园区（楼宇）5个，改造总建筑面积为4万平方米。 　　长宁区重点培育的特色产业是服装服饰业和电子电器业，充分利用“便服套装”特色产品优惠政策，加大招商力度，促进传统工业转型为都市型工业。 　　Changning District is located in the west of downtown Shanghai and covers an area of 38 square km. A strategy of "developing Changning based on Hongqiao" was formulated emphasizing the development of Hongqiao Economic & Technological Development Zone. Exploitation of three economic clusters,i.e. Hongqiao international trade center, Hongqiao Lingkong Economic Park and Zhongshan Park shopping center, have been stressed to support the economic and social development of Changning District. 　　Hongqiao Lingkong Economic Park is situated in the west of Changning, only two km away from Hongqiao International Airport. It covers a planned area of 280 hectares and accommodates electronic & electric industries, garment & trappings industry, information & communications industries and urban industries. Up to now, it has attracted more than twenty projects with notable high-tech content and branding advantages. 　　On basis of existent workshops of state-owned enterprises, Changning government and SOE cooperatea to advance construction of characteristic urban industial parks and restucturing of industries. Up to now, 5 urban industrial parks(buildings)have been well constructed, including workshops of such SOE as Shanghai Plastic Mold Factory. People Electric Apparatus Factory, Torch Environment Protection Application Factory, Spinning Machine Research Institute, Lark Enterprises Development Co., Dongfeng Sofa Factory. They contribute an area of 40 thousand square meters. 　　Electronic & electric industries and garment & trappings industry are emphasized in Changning District. Preferential policies, supporting the distinctive industry of "Casual suits", have been formulated to attract investment and stimulate the transformation of traditional industries to urban industries.
