上海纺织工业区是由上海市发改委、经委协调，中国纺织工业协会、上海纺织控股（集团）公司、上海市金山区人民政府三方联合开发的上海地区最大的纺织以及相关配套产业的生产、加工、销售基地。

    上海纺织工业区规划用地近13．6平方公里。园区将遵循“整体规划、分期实施、滚动开发”的原则，一期开发建设6．18平方公里，二期开发津设 3平方公里，三期开发建设  4．42平方公里。

    上海纺织工业区的发展定位是适应全球化趋势和科技进步的高端领域，推动产业升级，培养纺织企业未来核心竞争优势。全力打造集纺织、织布、染整、成衣、原辅材料生产及相关产业集聚的生产基地和纺织高端产业的孵化基地，重点鼓励中高档纺织原料和面料、产业用纺织产品、环保印染产品、高档品牌时装、纺织机械以及其他纺织相关产品的生产和经营。

   At the end of 1998, Fengjing Town , grasping the historical chance arising from the completion of Shanghai Hangzhou Expressway, whose largest exit is located in Fengjing,  made the plan for building Fengjing industrial Park in the east of the town adjacent to the expressway. From its initial total area of 3.25 square kilometers, the industrial Park has now expanded to 23.06 square kilometers .The Park is divides into Zones A, B and C, and has attracted 269 industrial investment projects．It has fundamentally developed into a product base with automobiles and motorcycles and accessories, textiles, garments and garment machinery universal equipment and related downstream series, rice wine and processing of other foods as the pillar industries.
